Reblog to Help Animals in Need!
For every reblog of this post before April 2nd, I will donate 5 cents to Hearts United for Animals, a national “no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization dedicated to the relief of suffering.”
Help reblog to make the cents add up! Or, donate on your own here!

Is this thing on? HELLo! Let’s reblog for this cause, people!
Reee-bloggin’!
I… I can’t say no to puppies.
I lose nothing by trying…and those EYES! ::melt::
No-kill shelters!
How come fetus fundamentalists aren’t opposed to war?
How come anti-reproductive rights advocates actively campaign against social services?
Why do people who think that all life has value work to oppose civil rights for anyone who isn’t white, cis, Christian, able, and straight?
If life is so important, why is it ok to let children die of abuse, neglect, starvation?
If abortion is murder, why aren’t they angry about deaths caused by pollution and overwork?
Why is it that all human life is sacred but these people don’t lift a finger to fight human trafficking, slavery, and labour abuses?
Why is it that only fetuses matter?
I am currently writing a play called “An Analysis Of The Power Dynamic Around A Series Of Kisses”. I’m aiming for it to be twenty-thirty minutes long at the moment. So far I have six potential scenes, mostly based on my experiences and tweaked.
Does anybody have interesting kissing anecdotes? Especially wanted if it’s queer or poly related.
Characters/Actors: 2 cis women, one trans man, one cis man
Situations that are already covered:
kissing a homophobe to freak them out (cis women, queer) EDIT: I in no way condone this. It’s the kind of stupid thing I did when sixteen. The play overall is pro enthusiastic consent.
kissing someone to cheer them up when they’re on a psych ward (straight, cis woman and cis man)
kissing someone who is normally attracted to another gender when you’re transitioning (trans man, cis woman)
being kissed by a guy you’re trying to get to leave you alone in a nightclub, against your wishes (cis man, cis woman)
kissing someone when you’re normally attracted to another gender (cis woman, cis man)
kissing someone outside the relationship you’re currently in
[This here is a warning that the author has written a post about, amongst other things, being depressed and suicidal. For this reason there is a clicky thing. Use it in whatever health you got. Also please note that with respect to my wife and our marriage you are getting exactly one perspective—mine—and everything is filtered through my experiences of abuse. This is not an objective reporting of events.]
Y’all who’ve been following this adventure know I’ve been fucked up for a while now. It’s been next to impossible to get any work done—it took me until five-thirty this morning to get caught up on my inbox. Today I got to explain why I should keep my job. On the phone. I don’t know as I was very convincing. Being highly ambivalent about wanting to keep it at all isn’t helpful with the convincing. Nor the panic that comes with phones, the stammering dysphasia aphasia that is so heavily influenced by stress.
Maybe I’ll get to keep it through the end of the month. I keep telling myself I should be at my desk now working.
I’m in bed with the notebook and I haven’t gotten dressed. I woke up six hours ago.
Hugs if you want them.
“If fashion was porn, this dress is the money shot.”
Gabourey Sidibe, star of the movie Precious, to Ryan Seacrest. (via mariellie)(via littleteacup)(via apsies)
i’m turning the tv off as the pinnacle of the night has clearly been reached.

God bless Gabby Sidibe. I haven’t even seen Precious (though at some point I think I would like to maybe? Conflicteddd), but I kind of love her regardless.

Also conflicted about seeing Precious, but both Gabby Sidibe and Monique just keep being awesome (did you see Monique talking about open relationships earlier this week?) so I probably will
So, I have been becoming obsessed with other people’s tumblr’s for a while now, as there appeared to be actual conversations there, and lots of people from the feminist/progressive blogosphere. On whose blogs I’ve generally failed to comment before. So yes, I probably found you either through Shakesville related things, links on other Tumblr’s and people I have been reading on Tumblr.
Currently I am trying to write a post on why not to recommend Pride and Prejudice to your niece who likes books, and eating tomato soup.
Cause that’s totally me right now. Though I’m trying to keep from reading The Chalice and the Blade.
This is the reason I have yet to continue my fantasy stream of consciousness Gawain and The Green Knight novel, most of which is based on when I took “The White Goddess” seriously. It’s also why I’m trying to avoid reading “The Mists of Avalon”
